A collection of journeys that shaped how I experience and design travel.

The way I travel shapes the way I plan for others.
These trips: solo studies, trips with friends, time spent with family, and journeys taken slowly, have helped me understand how places actually live and breathe.

2 Weeks in Greece with Steven

Fall 2025

A trip to introduce my partner to the place my family comes from.

We spent two weeks moving slowly through Greece, sharing the food, traditions, and everyday rhythms that shaped my upbringing. It was a special experience seeing familiar places through someone else’s eyes, and a reminder of how deeply culture, hospitality, and community define travel in Greece.

My First Solo Trip in France, Belgium & The Netherlands

Winter 2017

A three-week trip that began with studying French in the south of France and ended with my first solo hostel experience.

It was equal parts intimidating and inspiring — navigating new cities alone, trying unfamiliar foods, and learning to trust my instincts while traveling. That trip sparked a deeper curiosity about the world and showed me how transformative solo travel can be.

8 Months Solo in Italy, Greece, Germany +

Fall 2022-Spring 2023

A slow travel experience that allowed me to truly live in the places I visited.

I spent time studying Italian in Florence, living in Athens, and reconnecting with family across Europe. Staying longer in each place gave me the chance to experience daily life: local cafés, neighborhood routines, and the rhythm of cities beyond tourism.

The Philippines & Vietnam with Steven

Winter 2024

Our first trip to Asia together, exploring two countries rich in culture, food, and natural beauty.

From quiet island beaches to vibrant cities, every day brought new flavors, landscapes, and experiences. The warmth of the people and the depth of the food culture made this trip especially memorable and sparked a deeper curiosity about Southeast Asia.

10 European Countries with Megan

Spring 2018

Two months of adventure with my best friend, traveling from Sweden all the way to Ireland.

It was a whirlwind introduction to many corners of Europe, long train rides, new cities every few days, and countless unforgettable moments along the way. The trip shaped the way I think about travel and showed me how powerful shared experiences can be.

Italy with Megan

Fall 2023

Another trip together, this time focused entirely on Italy.

We spent our days wandering neighborhoods, visiting markets, and settling into the rhythm of Italian cities. It was a reminder of how much richer travel becomes when you slow down and allow time for everyday moments.

Curacao with Steven

Fall 2025

Our first trip together and my introduction to a different style of travel.

Along with exploring the island, we spent time scuba diving and riding motorbikes along the coast. It was a fun shift from my usual city-focused trips and a reminder that travel can take many forms.

Italy and France with my Sister

Spring 2014

Our first international trip without our parents.

Young, nervous, and figuring things out as we went, we navigated two countries on our own and discovered how capable we really were. That trip planted the seeds for a lifelong love of travel.

Spain and Portugal with my Mom

Winter 2020

A spontaneous trip with my mom, traveling without a strict plan.

We moved slowly between cities, letting curiosity guide us from neighborhood cafés to local markets and coastal towns. Sharing those experiences together made the trip especially meaningful.

Solo Month in Vietnam

Winter 2025

A trip I had dreamed about for years, a full month exploring Vietnam on my own.

Moving at my own pace allowed me to experience the country more deeply, from street food stalls and coffee culture to everyday life in bustling cities and quieter towns.

Italy with my Family

Summer 2018

A special return trip for my grandparents, who hadn’t been back to Italy in decades.

We spent a month traveling together, reconnecting with family, food, and the places that shaped our history. It was a deeply meaningful way to experience the country.

Greece with my Family

Summer 2011

A summer spent at my yiayia’s home in Sparta.

Those months shaped my connection to Greece — long meals with family, afternoons in the village, and the rhythms of everyday life that define the culture.
